I am so excited and glad to be part of God’s Youth. This program is designed to equip young people in their dally walk with the Lord and build a solid foundation in the word of God, prayer, regular Church attendance, and soul winning for Christ. I believe that there is no better place to look for a blue-print of how to do youth work in the example of Jesus. During His 3 years of ministry he spent quality time with a group of people disciplining and nurturing them as their relationship developed. I recognized that each person is unique, and creation of God. With this in mind I want each person to be apart of this program. We hope to develop each young person’s talents and ability. We are committed to develop the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social need of every youth.
1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life…..
What Paul is saying here there are going to be older members of your Church. They are probably going to dislike being lectured to, and having their conduct dictated by, so relatively young pastor. Paul admonishes timothy to do what was necessary to engender a healthy sense of respect among those he was called to lead. Rather than building on the platform of personal charm, popularity, programs, or self-promotion. Paul admonishes timothy to earn and build respect among those he serves. So we teach youth have to fulfill their call in their local Church.
1 Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect your gift.
Every Christians possesses gifts of the spirit. We all differ from each other. If you are in Christ then He has given a gift. You have no right to say I have nothing to offer. The gift should be stirred up. So we help you to nourish and strengthen it.
